The college has been insistently carrying out its internationalization strategy. Since putting into place the Sino-German Institute of Applied Technology cosponsored by Anhalt University of Applied Sciences in Germany, the college has signed collaborative agreements with 10-odd universities from Germany and the United States, co-running graduate and double degree undergraduate programs, has up to now sent 900 students abroad for further study, and presently has over 1700 students in store preparing for their planned study in Germany. In 2019, the third Sino-German International Education Forum was successfully held in the college with an attendance from 10-odd German and 60-odd domestic universities, greatly promoting the exchange and cooperation between Chinese and German universities. Four engineering disciplines, including Communication Engineering, have passed the certification of ASIIN and the European Engineer Program (EUR-ACE Bachelor), the only college of its kind in China.

       The college has achieved outstanding results in its distinctive school running. Its students have earned in recent years 1010 awards in various provincial/ministerial (municipal) or above level discipline competitions, including111 nationalawards, and 899 provincial/ministerial (municipal) awards. Of the 111 national awards are 30 national first and special prizes, such as special prize of “2019 China Engineering Robot Competition and International Open”, and first prize of “12th‘Siemens Cup’ China Intelligent Manufacturing Challenge National Final”; 31 national second prizes, 40 national third prizes and 10 national excellence prizes. Of the 899 provincial/ministerial (municipal) awards are 63 first prizes, 150 second prizes, 170 third prizes, and 516 excellence prizes. Its faculty have in possession 36 patents, have been undertaking, in the past five years, 129 teaching and research projects at or above the municipal level, have published 757 papers and 221 monographs/textbooks, including 159 papers in core journals, and 12 papers retrieved by SCI and EI.

       The college boasts justified talent training quality. Recent years’ employment rate of the graduates has been maintaining above95%, a rate that ranks the college in the forefront of Chinese universities of the same kind. Of its graduates totaling about 50,000, most are employed in counterpart posts, matching their specialties and distributed mainly in industries as communication, manufacturing, and software development, etc., of whom 10% in world or China's top 500 enterprises, and more than 60% in information industry , Chongqing’s first pillar of economy. Up tonow, the college has signed a total of 360 cooperation agreements with enterprises, organizations and schools, and is carrying out “co-construction and co-education” programs with 89 off-campus internship bases including Chongqing Telecom, Chongqing Mobile, ZTE, Huawei, HP, Chang'an, Silian, Nanfang Securities, Xiyong Micro Electronics Park, and others.
